FormFlex® VG Cultivation gutter

Drainage water that ends up next to the cultivation system can cause wet walkways and problems with the ground. That’s why Metazet, in collaboration with a gerbera grower, developed the FormFlex® VG gutter. This drainage gutter collects the drainage water from beneath the cultivation area and channels it away in a controlled manner. The VG gutter is now also used in table top cultivation and, in combination with the FormFlex® PG gutter, within pot gutter systems.

Specifications

The FormFlex® VG gutter features a deep, high-capacity drainage channel. This allows drainage water to be quickly removed, reducing the likelihood of water ending up on the growing surface or in the walkways. This helps keep the substrate dry and prevents problems caused by prolonged moisture.

The VG gutter can also be combined with the FormFlex® PG gutter. In this case, the distance between the drainage gutter and the plant can be adjusted to suit the cultivation system. Thanks to its compatibility with standard brackets, the VG gutter can also be integrated into existing systems not supplied by Metazet.

At the special request of our customer, Haoyu Group, this impressive project was rolled out precisely during the traditional nationwide closure of factories and businesses. A huge thank you to our fantastic on-site team, who worked tirelessly during the holidays to successfully complete this project on time.

Smart alternative to hanging gutter system in light greenhouses

A clever alternative has been installed at cucumber growers Van Der Waal and Fitterstee: special supports that support a gutter system without adding weight to the greenhouse structure. This makes an efficient cultivation system possible, even in lighter greenhouses.

Second Skin at De Bruijn Tomatoes

The new Second Skin application of Metazet was used at De Bruijn Tomaten at the end of last year. This plastic top layer ensures that the gutters look smooth and evenly white again, which radiates hygiene. Large orders have already been placed for tomato cultivation: 28 kilometers of gutters were fitted with Second Skin. With this, growers experience the innovation almost as if they were getting new Gutters, with clear advantages in terms of hygiene and ease of maintenance.
