Worldwide, we get to manage many projects. Sometimes project requests deviate from our usual product offerings. But special can’t be special enough for us. Because then our knowledge, expertise and production capabilities come into their own.
GrowWizzKid approached Metazet with the request to develop a cultivation system suitable for educational purposes. Our engineers got to work and developed a prototype model with four cultivation layers, three of which are height adjustable (depending on the plant size) and one layer specially
is designed for growing on water.
This prototype was not only successfully designed and built, but has since become a standardized product.
As a Westland company, we are used to building innovative solutions for the greenhouse industry. But when Arctic Reflections approached us for a project on the sea ice of Canada, it was a special challenge even for us.
Arctic Reflections is a young organization with an ambitious goal: to artificially thicken sea ice in order to slow the melting of Arctic ice. That ice acts like a mirror – bouncing sunlight and heat back into space. Without that reflective surface, the earth warms up much faster.
Lunchroom Bijzonder offers young adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to develop in a safe and stimulating environment in the hospitality, production or hobby greenhouse.
And just for that last special place, we have developed and supplied a number of narrow cultivation tables together with VK Pro. Employees can sow, nurture and harvest in the greenhouse, and often take a moment to unwind. And that result is visible not only in the greenhouse, but also in the dishes and the smiles on their faces served in the lunchroom. Double the enjoyment!
