From demand to solution in 16 weeks
With the introduction of an unloading system, a new logistical challenge arose: how do you transport the harvested peppers to the barn as quickly and practically as possible? A bulk truck appeared to be the best solution for this, but the desired models were no longer available. The question to Metazet was clear: can you make these trolleys? The answer was simple: “Of course we can! With our extensive knowledge of electric transport solutions, metalworking and an in-house assembly department, we went straight to work. In just 16 weeks, the complete process was completed: from design and drawing to production and delivery.
A tailor-made bulk truck tailored to practice
The new bulk trucks have a length of 6 meters and a capacity of about 5 cubic meters. Based on the original wagons, Metazet made improvements with proprietary technologies, such as a lithium battery and a powerful AC motor. These modifications provide a smooth and powerful drive, making the bulk trucks effortless in the transport process.
These bulk trailers can be scaled up or customized in size and design, depending on the needs of the grower. “Every nursery has unique logistical requirements; we are always happy to help think of the best fit solution.”
The new bulk trailers for Reijm & Zn. are now fully operational. Jan Reijm was able to start harvesting peppers immediately and is enthusiastic about the speed and efficiency offered by the new transport solution.
