Advantages of the crop gutter system

Because of the advance of closed growing, cultivation in gutters has been revolutionised. In many cases, 100 % closed growing is even a fundamental environmental requirement. FormFlex crop gutters enable you to meet all those requirements, while simultaneously saving on production and labour costs.

Advantages:

  • Reuse of drainage water and fertilisers
  • The water cycle is the same for all plants
  • Optimum air circulation through the crop
  • Better control of plant growth
  • Less opportunities for diseases and pests to develop
  • Increased labour productivity
  • Improved working conditions by working at the correct height

These advantages result in higher production and better quality.

KG crop gutter

The KG Gutter of Metazet/FormFlex was the first crop gutter on the market. It is now the best known gutter in the world, and it continues to be extremely successful. It can be used either suspended or supported, and it is suitable for substrate mats with rock wool and coir in particular. However, is can also be used with trays. The upright edges immobilise the substrate extremely well and offer a high level of stability. The drainage channels are available in various widths and depths, and the high level of dimensional stability allows for large spans. In consultation with you and depending on the cultivation medium, the KG Gutter can be supplied in any required width size.

GG crop gutter

Metazet/FormFlex has developed the GG Gutter especially for growing roses; it now sets the international standard for rose cultivation. This supporting gutter is particularly suitable for Rockwool and Cocopeat, but it is also suitable for the use of trays. As the drainage water is separated from the substrate, no root growth will take place in the drainage water channels and the spread of diseases will be kept to a minimum. The substrate is perfectly supported along the full width, which ensures optimum water distribution. The upright edges immobilise the substrate and offer a high level of stability when the roses are bent inwards. In consultation with you and depending on the cultivation medium, the GG Gutter can be supplied in any required width size.
